Voto Latino Campaign . Goal - Creating awareness for the Latinx community during the 2018 midterm elections. Being that I am first generation Mexican American I know the struggles that my community faces when it comes to U.S. political campaigns. By incorporating a common, and beloved household lottery game (Loteria), my hope was to first grab their attention. I juxtaposed these images with the Futura typeface to speak to the millenial base for whom I wanted to attract as they may be accustomed to seeing it on the Crayola boxes they grew up with. I specifically chose the wording of “Tienes derecho” to remind my community that not only can they vote, but that they have the right to vote.
